After the implementation of a pilot phase, this new project of strengthening of the judiciary and penitentiary system of Cameroon, amelioration of the human right protection and humanisation will be extended to 10 prisons over the Country. It will assist in the implementation of activities which objectives are to upgrade the judiciary and ameliorate the detention conditions. The overall objective of the programme is the amelioration of preventive detention conditions and respect of human rights in order to bring Cameroon to a situation of more rigorous respect of human rights through strengthening the judiciary and the penitentiary system.
