Preparing companies for privatisation
Description
The aim is to provide the Ministry of Participation and Investment Promotion and the companies under its aegis with the technical assistance needed to prepare for the successful and transparent privatisation of some forty medium and large public companies, and to initiate and support the privatisation process of a number of them to its conclusion.
This technical assistance includes support for legal and accounting due diligence, the active search for partners, help in negotiating and drafting sale contracts, negotiating the participation of partners in the capital and identifying the privatisation modalities.
It includes the following main stages:preparing the company by carrying out the necessary diagnostics or updating existing diagnostics;
the valuation of the company and the determination of a value range according to different methods. In the event that valuations have already been carried out, it will only be a matter of validating and/or updating them;
recommendation of privatisation strategies;
assistance in negotiations;
If necessary, the evaluation of the impact on the company of the agreements on the opening of foreign trade with Algeria, in particular the association agreement with the EU.
